Episode 143 – The Power of Love

00:0000:00

This week has now been dubbed Back to the Future week... by us, because we record on a Sunday and we'd miss Back to the Future day which is actually Wednesday the 21st October 2015.

We're officially in the future, the exact date (ish) that Marty McFly travelling to in Back to the Future Part II, we should have self-tying shoelaces and hoverboards by now. And we kinda do. However, Ant is annoyed by the fact some people are claiming segways with no handles are being touted as hoverboard 'cause they don't actually hover! (And they're illegal.)

Other topic includes Elon Musk's Hyperloop travel system and the automated update to his Tesla cars that isn't entirely automated. Watch out pedestrians!

We've had a lot of interaction this week including answers to the question posed by Ant last week: 'What are things you say you're going to do but never follow through on?'

A lady in New York has sued her eight-year-old nephew for breaking her wrist while greeting her at a party four years ago, but is it all that it seems?

Congratulations to Sean from the Nerd Church Podcast for introducing the Justice League panel at New York ComicCon. Tom is being the MC at an event his company is putting on next week, so won't be able to watch the Back to the Future trilogy on Back to the Future day.

A Japanese gamer loved a SNES game so much that he didn't want his save game to die, so he kept his console on and the cartridge in for 20 years! Plus, in Japan this week Boris Johnson, the Mayor of London, takes out a 10-year-old child in a rugby match. Here's the video:
